Haunted (5 new books)

I just finished Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, the same guy who wrote Fight Club. What originally appealed to me was the fact that the book was supposed to be rather gory and gross. Which, if you have a weak stomach, surely is. The roughly 46 mixed poems and stories were all somewhat well written, not the best I've read. I saw MANY errors with spelling, which to me is quite silly for a professional writer; at one point in time a dogs name switched from "Risky" to "Ricky" and then back again. Beyond that the book was pretty good, far from a favorite but still very readable.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (5 New Books)

I started this book quite sometime back, maybe half a year ago? Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is written by Jonathan Safran Foer, the same man who wrote Everything is Illuminated which I have no read. It is a very touching book written mainly in the perspective of a little boy, Oskar. Depending on the chapter it is also "written" by others, but you can read for yourself. In the end the book leaves you with very heavy boots, but how many books out there can really leave you feeling such an emotional response? My verdict 5 out of 5.
